- Ensure drawing sets are logically structured, properly annotated and fully coordinated with all disciplines, following office/project graphic standards.
- Create and maintain detailed BIM models (primarily in Revit) and manage model coordination across all disciplines, including clash detection and integration of consultant models.
Permitting
- Assemble comprehensive drawing packages and supporting documents for authorityhavingjurisdiction (AHJ) submissions.
- Ensure permit packages meet local formatting, content and technical standards, and are clearly annotated to support smooth review and approval.
- Conduct preliminary research into applicable zoning, landuse regulations, building codes and other jurisdictional requirements.
Milestone monitoring & schedule coordination
- Assist in tracking project milestones across all design phases to align drawing submissions, consultant deliverables and client reviews with agreed schedules.
- Work with Project Managers and senior team members to maintain documentation timelines and flag potential delays or resourcing issues proactively.
Reporting, logs & construction support
- Maintain uptodate drawing logs, issue logs, revision histories and submission records so all stakeholders are working from the latest information.
- Track RFI responses, submittals and technical queries, and maintain design change and action trackers.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs and support processing of change orders, helping to resolve issues while protecting design intent.
Quality assurance & risk management
- Review design and technical drawings from junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project team members.
- Implement and monitor QA/QC protocols throughout all phases of design and documentation, supporting compliance with codes and project standards.
Candidate profile
- 9-11 years of professional experience in architectural practice, with demonstrable experience leading technical coordination on complex projects.
- Strong hospitality, resort, mixeduse or destinationdriven project background, ideally with experience across the United States or Europe as well as the Middle East / North Africa (MENA) region, gained within internationally recognised architecture or design firms.
