The role blends visionary thinking with strong technical rigor, translating client aspirations into innovative, functional and contextually appropriate architectural solutions, while leading project design efforts and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

What you'll do

Design excellence

  • Lead the design and development of luxury hospitality, resort, mixeduse and destination projects from concept through documentation.
  • Develop design concepts and details for luxury destinations, working both independently and under senior guidance.
  • Contribute to all design phases: conceptual sketches, schematic design, detailed drawings, construction documents and client presentations.
  • Guide spatial planning, facade articulation, material palettes and overall composition.
  • Interpret and develop client briefs through workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Produce drawings, models and visualisations using Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino / SketchUp, Photoshop and related tools.
  • Apply knowledge of computational design tools (e.g. Grasshopper) where appropriate to support design innovation.
  • Ensure design deliverables meet established QA/QC standards.

Client & stakeholder engagement

  • Translate client visions and project requirements into compelling, buildable design solutions.
  • Participate in client workshops, meetings and presentations, clearly communicating design intent and responding to feedback.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants and operators to ensure design intent is maintained through all stages of delivery.
  • Shadow and support senior architects in key client and consultant meetings to further develop clientfacing skills.

Team leadership & collaboration

  • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering creativity and design excellence within the team.
  • Work independently on smaller projects, and collaboratively under a lead architect for larger, complex initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines and specialist consultants (interiors, landscape, structural, MEP, civil) to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
  • Collaborate with contractors and regulatory agencies to support seamless project execution.

Technical coordination & documentation

  • Coordinate closely with technical teams to translate design intent into workable technical solutions and details.
  • Support technical detailing and integration of systems into the design.
  • Produce, review and update drawing sets based on markups from senior staff or consultants.
  • Maintain clear records of design decisions, changes and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality assurance & project delivery

  • Review drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with design intent.
  • Support compliance with codes, accessibility requirements and sustainability benchmarks.
  • Manage projectrelated tasks and timelines to support efficient delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, review shop drawings/submittals and help resolve designrelated challenges.
  • Contribute designfocused input during construction administration to protect design integrity.

Research & professional development

  • Conduct precedent and typology research to support design direction and storytelling.
  • Source and evaluate appropriate materials and finishes in line with project goals and brand standards.
  • Stay current with evolving design tools, technologies and sustainability practices.
  • Play an active role in business development by helping identify opportunities and showcasing the studio's design expertise.

Candidate profile

  • 9-11 years of professional architecture experience, preferably with strong hospitality, resort, mixeduse or destinationdriven project exposure.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (preferred).
  • Licensed architect (or actively pursuing licensure) preferred, with familiarity with professional standards and deliverables (AIA, RIBA, ARB or equivalent).

  • Proficient in architectural software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino (or similar 3D tools).
  • Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and projectmanagement tools for documentation, coordination and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Grasshopper is a plus.

Personal qualities
