Senior Technical Designer - Hospitality Interior Design

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and development of detailed technical design and construction drawing packages for 5-star hotels, luxury resorts, restaurants, and hospitality projects.
• Translate approved design concepts into accurate, coordinated, and buildable technical documentation while maintaining the overall design intent.
• Produce detailed floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, sections, joinery details, bespoke furniture, ceiling features, and interior architectural details.
• Develop and manage detailed 3D interior design models using Autodesk Revit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project BIM standards.
• Generate technical drawings, schedules, construction details, and documentation directly from Revit models.
• Coordinate interior design models and drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, lighting, kitchen, AV, and specialist consultants.
• Review consultant drawings, identify clashes, and resolve technical coordination issues.
• Ensure design details comply with 5-star hotel operator standards, brand guidelines, project specifications, and hospitality requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, technical specifications, and samples to ensure compliance with approved design intent.
• Conduct drawing and BIM model quality checks, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely submissions.
• Attend site visits, coordinate with contractors, respond to RFIs, and provide technical solutions during construction.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, authority requirements, accessibility, and fire and life safety standards.
• Lead technical design deliverables, provide guidance to junior designers, and coordinate workloads to meet project deadlines.
• Implement company BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and relevant ISO 19650 requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in interior design and technical documentation.
• Proven experience in 5-star hotels, luxury hospitality, resorts, and high-end F&B projects is essential.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating hospitality projects and technical construction documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit with hands-on experience in interior design modelling, BIM coordination, and technical drawing production.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD; Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud experience is an advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of bespoke joinery, custom furniture, interior finishes, ceiling systems, and construction detailing.
• Strong understanding of architectural, structural, MEP, and lighting coordination.
• Good knowledge of BIM standards, ISO 19650, and UAE building regulations.
• Excellent technical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead technical deliverables, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight project deadlines.
