Midweight Interior Designer
Luxury Hospitality Design | London
Candidates must already have the legal right to reside and work in the UK and be able to work in London. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
About the studio
Our client is an internationally established design practice creating luxury hotels, resorts and destination-led hospitality interiors around the world. Its work combines compelling storytelling with a sophisticated understanding of space, materials and the guest experience.
Rather than applying a signature look to every project, the studio draws inspiration from the culture, character and landscape of each location. The result is a portfolio of distinctive environments that balance international luxury with a genuine sense of place.
With an established global presence, the practice is now building its London studio. This offers the opportunity to join an ambitious team at an early stage, backed by the expertise and international reach of a recognised hospitality design business.
The opportunity
We are looking for a talented Midweight Interior Designer to contribute to international luxury hotel and resort projects while playing an active part in the development of the London studio.
Working closely with senior designers and the wider project team, you will help shape concepts, develop interior schemes and translate creative ideas into carefully considered design solutions.
This role would suit someone with a strong hospitality portfolio, a refined eye for materials and detail, and the confidence to take ownership of their work within a collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to luxury hospitality projects from concept through design development and technical coordination.
- Research project locations, cultural influences and guest experiences to help develop meaningful design narratives.
- Produce space plans, concept presentations, mood boards and material palettes.
- Develop designs for guest rooms, suites, public areas, restaurants, bars and wellness spaces.
- Prepare drawings, elevations, details and presentation material with guidance from senior team members.
- Research and select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and accessories.
- Collaborate with FF&E designers, suppliers, consultants and the wider project team.
- Incorporate feedback and maintain coordinated, accurate design information.
- Manage assigned tasks and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
- Bring ideas, initiative and a collaborative approach to the growing London studio.
About you
- Experience at midweight level within an interior design practice, with a strong portfolio of hospitality projects.
- Experience working on luxury hotels, resorts or high-end restaurant and bar interiors.
- Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to carry ideas through design development.
- A considered approach to space planning, materials, finishes, furniture and detailing.
- Experience producing clear design presentations and drawing packages.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent relevant design tools.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence working independently on assigned tasks while contributing to a wider team.
- A relevant qualification in interior design, interior architecture or a related discipline.
- Existing permission to live and work in the UK without employer sponsorship.
Why join?
- Help shape a new London studio within an established international design practice.
- Contribute to luxury hospitality projects across international markets.
- Work closely with experienced designers and collaborate with a global team.
- Develop your creative and technical skills in a studio that values thoughtful, location-led design.
- Join at a stage where your ideas, contribution and approach can make a meaningful difference.
