An award winning global hospitality design studio is establishing and growing its new London presence and is now looking for a Midweight Interior Designer to join the team at a formative stage. This is a chance to work on high end hotel and F&B projects across Europe, the Middle East and beyond, contributing to concept, design development and documentation while helping to shape the creative culture of a new studio. The role is offered on a hybrid, consultancy basis, so you must be set up to invoice monthly.

Location: London
Setup: Hybrid, consultancy contract (candidate must be able to invoice monthly). NOT REMOTE (Must be in London)
Focus: Luxury hotel, resort and F&B projects
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of design concepts, mood boards and narratives for luxury hotel, resort and F&B projects, under the guidance of Senior/Lead Designers.
- Produce clear, wellcoordinated drawings and documents across all stages, from concept and schematic design through to design development and tender packages.
- Prepare presentation material, including layouts, sketches, FF&E boards and visual aids for client and operator meetings.
- Assist with space planning for guestrooms, suites, public areas and F&B venues, ensuring layouts meet brand, operator and operational requirements.
- Support FF&E selection, finishes palettes and sanitaryware specifications, compiling schedules and coordinating with suppliers.
- Develop and refine detailed interior elevations, joinery details and feature elements in collaboration with senior team members and external consultants.
- Work closely with 3D visualisers to communicate design intent, providing clear sketches, references and markups.
- Coordinate with internal architecture, graphics and procurement teams, as well as external consultants (architects, MEP, lighting, etc.), to maintain design consistency.
- Participate in internal design reviews, incorporating feedback and redlines into drawings and documentation.
- Help prepare and maintain drawing registers, issue logs and document control in line with studio standards.
- Support the team during tender and construction stages with clarification drawings, samples, and responses to RFIs as required.
Requirements
- 3-6 years' experience in an interior design or architecture studio, with a strong focus on hospitality (hotels, resorts and/or F&B).
- Solid portfolio demonstrating contribution to built or onsite hotel/restaurant projects (please clearly indicate your role on each project).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for interior documentation, plus good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for presentations.
- Confident in space planning, detailing and coordinating interior packages, with a good eye for proportion, materiality and guest experience.
- Experience preparing design presentations, mood boards, FF&E concepts and specification documents.
- Ability to read and coordinate architectural and consultant drawings, with an understanding of how interiors interface with basebuild.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working as part of a small, growing team where responsibilities are shared.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Hospitality brand/operator experience (or exposure) is an advantage.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and set up to work on a consultancy / freelance basis, invoicing monthly.
