The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join our client's Dubai studio on a full-time basis. This is a senior design role suited to someone with strong technical expertise, deep knowledge of hospitality design workflows, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

You will work closely with the design leadership team, managing the technical design and documentation of complex, high-end hospitality projects from concept through to construction and delivery. This role requires someone who is design-aware, commercially minded, and capable of translating sophisticated creative concepts into precise technical specifications and construction documentation.

What You'll Lead

• Development and coordination of comprehensive drawing packages and technical documentation across all project phases (concept, design development, technical design, and construction)
• Creation and refinement of detailed 2D and 3D models supporting evolving design concepts
• Provision of technical input, detailed specification work, and quality control throughout all project stages
• Collaboration with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery and coordination
• Production of construction documents, schedules, and technical specifications for luxury hospitality environments
• Supporting and mentoring junior technical and design team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration
• Engagement with external stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities
• Development and implementation of improved technical processes and workflows
• Ensuring all drawings, models, specifications, and presentations meet studio standards and quality benchmarks
• Bringing forward innovative solutions to complex technical design challenges
• Coordination of technical teams across multi-disciplinary projects

What We're Looking ForEssential Experience & Expertise

• 8-10+ years' proven experienceworking as a Technical Designer or Senior Designer on hospitality projects (luxury hotels, resorts, boutique properties, high-end restaurants, or branded residences)
• Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Expert proficiency in AutoCADand BIM (Revit) for production of technical documentation and 2D/3D modeling
• Strong experience with hospitality design standards, detailing, and construction methodologies
• Demonstrated expertise in producing technical specifications, FF&E schedules, and construction documentation
• In-depth understanding of architectural detailing, building materials, building codes, and construction technologies
• Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary hospitality projects with high standards of quality and precision
• Proven ability to manage technical design at delivery stage and oversee projects through to completion

Technical Skills

• Advanced AutoCAD capabilities for accurate technical drawing production
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM software for integrated design documentation
• Experience with Adobe Suite and visualization software (advantageous)
• Knowledge of international building codes and local UAE/Dubai building regulations
• Understanding of FF&E procurement and specification processes
• Strong technical design ability with meticulous attention to detail
