About the Studio

A leading boutique interior design studio specialising in high-end hospitality projects is seeking a Senior Technical Designer. The studio is recognised for innovation, sustainability, and delivering exceptional guest experiences for luxury hotels, restaurants, and public spaces.

Role Overview

The Senior Technical Designer will lead the technical design process for hospitality projects, ensuring creative concepts are translated into precise, buildable solutions. This role demands deep technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical design process from concept through execution for hospitality projects, including hotels, restaurants, and luxury spaces.
• Produce detailed architectural and interior drawings, technical packages, and specifications to the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with UAE building codes, hospitality brand standards, and sustainability best practices.
• Coordinate with internal design teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical challenges and ensure project alignment.
• Oversee and review technical drawing packages, respond to contractor queries, and support construction administration.
• Conduct site visits to review construction progress and maintain design intent throughout all phases.
• Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative studio culture.
• Research and integrate new materials, technologies, and sustainable solutions into technical design.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years' technical design experience in the interior design or architecture sector, with a strong portfolio of built hospitality projects (hotels, F&B, luxury environments).
• Bachelor's or master's degree in interior design, Architecture, or related field.
• Expert proficiency in Revit (mandatory), AutoCAD, and other industry-standard design software.
• In-depth knowledge of hospitality operational requirements, international and UAE codes, and technical detailing for luxury environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical design from schematic design to construction administration.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, FF&E, and bespoke joinery for hospitality interiors.
• Excellent project management, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passion for innovative, sustainable, and regenerative design solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced team.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive monthly salary for senior technical designers in Dubai ranges from AED 15,000 to AED 25,000, with potential for higher earnings at director levels.
