Senior Hospitality Designer - US Hospitality Studio
We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Senior Hospitality Designer with specialised expertise in hotel interior design and architecture to join our expanding US Hospitality Studio.
As a Senior Hospitality Designer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the creative and technical direction of high-profile hospitality projects. You will oversee the design process from concept to completion, mentor junior and intermediate designers, and collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver innovative, functional, and visually compelling spaces.

Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Technical Oversight
- Lead the creative vision for hotel interiors, ensuring design excellence and alignment with client objectives.
- Direct the development of feasibility studies, concept presentations, mood boards, and detailed technical drawings.
- Oversee the production and review of technical and engineering drawings, maintaining accuracy and design intent throughout all project phases.
- Manage and coordinate the design and documentation process for multiple projects, from Model Room to Room Roll-out.
Fixture, Finish, and Material Selection
- Drive the research and selection of fixtures, finishes, and materials, ensuring seamless integration with the overall design concept.
- Collaborate with studio leadership to set standards for quality and innovation in FF&E specifications.
Space Planning & Detailing
- Develop and finalize comprehensive space plans for large-scale hotel projects.
- Guide and mentor design teams in resolving complex space planning and detailing challenges.
- Ensure the production of clear, precise, and comprehensive interior design documentation.
Furniture, Fixture, and Cost Management
- Oversee the creation and delivery of design and furniture packages for a range of project sizes.
- Lead cost estimation processes, ensuring alignment with project budgets and value engineering goals.
Site Coordination & Field Surveys
- Lead site verifications and field surveys, ensuring that design implementations reflect approved plans and standards.
Budgeting & Project Management
- Manage design budgets for assigned projects, maintaining strict adherence to financial guidelines.
- Communicate proactively with project managers and clients regarding any potential budget variances or risks.
Education, Experience, and Leadership
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Minimum 6+ years' experience in hospitality/hotel interior design projects, with a proven track record of leading design teams and delivering complex projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Design & Technical
- Mastery of design principles, aesthetics, and hotel design phases.
- Advanced hotel space planning and furniture layout skills.
- Exceptional technical understanding and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel FF&E, finishes, and local code requirements.
- Advanced sketching and interior architecture detailing.
- Expertise in construction documents and industry-standard procedures.
- Strong understanding of hospitality operations, branding, and positioning.
- Experience with luxury brands and brand standards.
Software & Communication
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with Affinity or equivalent design programs.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Strong presentation abilities and a collaborative approach to team leadership.
