Job Title:Architectural Staff Level III (Non-Licensed)
Location: Los Angeles

About the Role
Our client is a respected architecture and design firm known for delivering complex projects with a strong technical foundation and collaborative culture. ThisArchitectural Staff Level III (Non-Licensed)role is suited to a highly capable, technically focused team member who can support and help lead project delivery with limited day-to-day supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients, client project managers, consultants, and senior staff.
- Assist senior staff with proposals, fee development, and project and deliverable scheduling.
- Require limited guidance from the Project Architect/Project Manager in day-to-day project management and delivery.
- Participate from conceptual design and provide full support throughout all project phases.
- Coordinate with senior staff on appropriate technical solutions and project strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced architectural staff.
- Understand design budgets/hours and deliver projects within budget by managing personal and team hours.
- Present directly to clients on technical and design solutions as a reliable project representative.
- Directly supervise the team's design and technical delivery as delegated by senior staff.
- Assist project teams and other staff members as requested and required.
- Develop and represent the lead technical viewpoint on assigned projects.
- Provide full QA/QC of internal and consultant drawings and issue clear, coordinated redlines.
- Demonstrate a full understanding of the California Building Code, International Building Code, ANSI, health codes, Cal/OSHA, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Qualifications
- Typically 8 or more years of professional architectural experience.
- Professional licensure preferred but not required.
- Meets all requirements of an Architectural Staff Level II role (strong technical skills, solid documentation experience, and project support across multiple phases).
- Proven experience producing and coordinating construction documents on complex projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage portions of projects with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in client-facing situations.
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced technical and detailing skills, with a strong understanding of building systems.
- Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong QA/QC mindset and meticulous attention to detail in drawing review and redlining.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple consultants and manage information flow efficiently.
- Solid knowledge of applicable building codes and standards, particularly in California.
