Position Overview:

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our design studio, taking the lead on various hospitality interior design projects. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, and the design team to develop innovative design concepts, create detailed project plans, and oversee the execution of the designs. Your expertise and creative vision will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, visually stunning, and functional spaces that exceed our clients' expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process from conceptualization to completion for hospitality interior design projects.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and design goals.
• Develop innovative and compelling design concepts that align with the client's brand identity and project objectives.
• Create detailed project plans, including space planning, material selection, furniture layouts, and lighting design.
• Produce accurate and detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, and specifications.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress, quality, and adherence to design intent during the construction phase.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and industry best practices in hospitality interior design.
• Foster and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals to enhance business opportunities and partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in interior design or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in hospitality interior design, preferably with a focus on high-end projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and FF&E.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Extensive knowledge of construction materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture suppliers/vendors.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to lead design teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality designs within project timelines and budgets.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in San Francisco and California.
• Professional affiliations, such as ASID or IIDA, are highly desirable.
